Dear you–

On April 8, 2024, there will be a total solar eclipse. For the occasion, EP & I are putting out this call for art and writing related to or inspired by eclipses. Out of the submissions, we will curate a selection into a book to be published ahead of this astronomical event. 

This book will be first and foremost be a collection of creative eclipse/d reflections. Poetry, photography, drawing, collage… reproducible work in book form. Also open to discussing more intricate possibilities for print. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss! 

The timing of this publication is in honor of our kiddo Sylvan James Lore Press who will turn 7 on April 8, 2024. This book will be dedicated to Sylvan, in honor of, but not about their birthday. 

Submissions will be accepted until: February 29, 2024. 

Those selected will be notified by the end of February. We will print the books by the end of March and plan on a release just before or on April 8, 2024. All accepted authors/artists will receive a book!

Please upload your submissions to this drive folder. Place your work in a folder labeled LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME with a doc/pdf that includes your name, e-mail, details of the work (title, medium, date), a brief statement (less than 50 words), and a short bio (50 words or less). Label all files with lastname_firstname_
